When Bob and I decided to get our first dog - we had the same question everyone else has - what kind? I would have liked a Cocker Spaniel and he was leaning towards an Irish Setter, (my grandfather had cockers and his family irish). So we did the logical thing - we bought a German Shepherd. That was in 1958. In those days, everyone had kennel names and since we had two daughters, Shery and Sandy, we decided on SherSan. In 1961 we got our first Afghan hound. In 1962 a third daughter was born, Bobbi, but we couldn't figure out how to incorperate her name into the kennel name and so it stayed Shersan. |
